Norwegian Electric Systems and Norwegian Control Systems have received a record order for deliveries of hybrid electric propulsion systems and control systems from bridge to propellers for Havila Kystruten. This is the world’s largest delivery of battery package to ships.

Today, Cemre Shipyard in Turkey launched the hull of the first of a total of five Havyard 936 battery ferries that will operate the Hareid-Sulesund and Aursnes-Magerholm services in Sunnmøre. It will now be towed to Norway for fitting out.
