This was the essence of the seminar, HAVtech – Green Energy, that Norwegian Electric Systems recently held in co-operation with Maritime Bergen, at our premises in Bergen.

The seminar was fully booked and many marine segments; offshore, fishing, merchant and ferry were represented, since all the branches share many common environmental challenges. The response from the participants of the seminar was very positive and many future challenges were highlighted. After the seminar, Norwegian Electric Systems invited all the participants to a tour of the premises/ test area, followed by a traditional cod dinner.

The programme:

"Which demands and regulations will come and how does this affect the technology?" v/ Lasse Karlsen, Technical director, Sjøfartsdirektoratet

"How will the classification authorities handle the new environmental demands?" v/ Frode Eriksen, Regional Business Development Manager, DNV GL

"Unique technology for green and innovative energy" v/ Norwegian Electric Systems

"The green future" v/ Per Sævik, shipowner and principal shareholder Fjord1

"The bulk industry – new way of thinking!" v/ Nils Magne Fjereide, Managing director, Misje Rederi AS
