Norwegian Control Systems (NCS) is launching a new and unique integrated navigation system (INS) that will optimise operation of all types of vessels over 25 metres.

First ferry launched on the Hareid-Sulesund service

Today, Cemre Shipyard in Turkey launched the hull of the first of a total of five Havyard 936 battery ferries that will operate the Hareid-Sulesund and Aursnes-Magerholm services in Sunnmøre. It will now be towed to Norway for fitting out.

Havila Charisma is one of the vessels Norwegian Electric Systems has retrofitted with QUEST® hybrid technology. Havila Charisma has a long term contract with Equinor (previously Statoil) to supply Equinor`s oil platforms with food, water, equipment and fuel. Normally, these supply vessels runs on diesel, but Havila Charisma stands out at this point.
